JOB SUMMARY
On all loan transactions secured by commercial (CRE, Regional, Business, & SLG appraisals (excluding BRC appraisals)) real estate, the Commercial Appraisal Officer is responsible for insuring that appropriate real estate valuations are obtained and reviewed in compliance with Federal Regulations and Bank lending Polices. The position will be responsible for the co-ordination and monitoring of any third party vendors contracted to fulfill the real estate valuation requirements of the bank and for the management of any bank employees fulfilling these requirements. In addition, the Commercial Appraisal Officer will assist the Chief Appraisal, Senior Credit Officers, and Lines of Business with questions regarding Real Estate Appraisal and Evaluation ordering and review policies and procedures.
Operates in full compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations and laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering requirements. Responsible to report any procedure or process that doesn't meet regulatory requirements including fraud, whether suspected or confirmed, to management. This reporting can be done directly to any member of management, including Human Resources or Corporate Security, or can be reported through Associated's anonymous Ethics Hotline.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
-Responsible for insuring that appropriate real estate valuations are obtained and reviewed in compliance with General Regulations and Bank Lending Policies. Experience with USPAP, Federal Guidelines, and Associated Bank''s Lending Policies are required.
-Co-ordinate and monitor any third party vendors contracted to fulfill the real estate appraisal ordering, valuation, and review requirements of the bank. Insuring that adequate timing, quality, and service levels are maintained by those third party vendors and the bank''s internal processes.
-Hiring, management, and evaluation of any bank employees that report to this position as required to fulfill the real estate appraisal ordering, valuation, and review requirements of the bank.
-Assist in the ordering, review, and quality control of real estate appraisals and evaluations, as needed based on transaction volumes.
-Answer questions from appraisers, the Regional Lines of Business, Credit Administration, Internal Compliance, and Federal Regulators regarding the Bank''s Consumer Appraisal Policies and Procedures Daily
-Responsible for attracting, hiring, training and developing talent. Provides honest, helpful and timely feedback to colleagues on their performance. Conveys trust in colleague's competencies to do their jobs. Makes accurate evaluations of colleague capabilities and fit. Is responsible for handling conflict, employee relations and performance appraisals to include setting meaningful goals and objectives and other human resource related activities.
Qualifications:
Required Education: Bachelor''s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Finance, Real Estate, Accounting

Required: Certified General Appraiser License in one of the States within the Bank''s footprint by start date
