Job Description
Quad/Graphics is currently seeking a Full Time Manager position, responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the procurement of energy at Quad Graphics, including: Natural Gas, Electricity and Propane. This individual will work closely with our Facilities, Business Units and Finance to create solutions that insulate Quad from volatile shifts in cost while taking full advantage of our buying power to keep costs low.
Skills and Competencies:
Effective communications skills, both written and verbal. Must also have strong presentation skills.
Must possess strong analytical skills. Able to work with production data, commodity pricing and various financial instruments to cost models for Quad.
Execute RFP for energy needs at Quad.
Conducts comprehensive spend analysis for energy.
Develop and execute a negotiation strategy.
Effectively negotiate and document all terms, conditions and pricing using Quad Smartools.
Strong organizational skills, capable of organizing and tracking hundreds of energy contracts.
Maintain contracts in accordance to expiration schedules, business requirements and best practices to trigger new sourcing events.
Maintain industry knowledge and networks with suppliers.
Develop various reports used for tracking and benchmarking contract activities.
Develop and manage supplier performance criteria and evaluations for maximum supplier value.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5-10 years of buying experience.
Experience in the purchase of energy is strongly desired.
Experience working with multiple facilities.
A proven track record in cost reduction in previous positions.
Experience interpreting and analyzing complex procurement contract templates
Experience prioritizing assignments, while multitasking in a fast paced environment
Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
Strong data analysis skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong computer skills with proficiency using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications.
Strong communication skills and experience communicating effectively with a variety of team members at all levels of the organization
