As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting.
Responsibilities DAILY:
Banking - Check Online Banking and record any credits or debits, clear checks for positive pay AP - Print vendor invoices that are emailed and match to PO and So's Customer Billing Charge customers credit card payments in Elavon Answer emails WEEKLY:
AP Check Run - Select checks, email to owners report for approval and print AP checks Meet Owner at office to pick up mail, have AP checks signed, file paid AP AR - Deposit checks received in the mail thorough remote deposit Pay Pal - Check account, transfer money to Piranha, and apply payments received Follow up with sales people on SO's that need questions answered so customers can be invoiced BIMONTHLY:
Payroll on the 15th and the last day of the month.
Process payroll 2 days prior to pay date Once payroll is processed print reports, prepare and enter journal entries, email employees pay stubs Last payroll of the month commissions are paid.
Need to calculate commissions due MONTHLY:
AR Collections - follow up on open invoices that are past due from customers AMEX Credit card statement reconcile Chase credit card statement reconcile - Pay online Mastercard statements reconcile - Pay by phone Monthly journal entries Balance bank statement Balance AR and run report Financial Statement Sales reports Sales Tax return for Wisconsin Review owners tax estimates for due datesw Close month end in CF If you are a highly motivated individual with a passion for finance and a desire to contribute to the success of our organization, we encourage you to apply for the position of Controller.
