Laser Operator

We partner with our customers providing them with innovative and world-class solutions in single-hit, progressive, transfer and deep draw dies, precision sheet metal stampings and laser cutting. Overview: The Laser Operator is responsible for operating 5-axis laser cutting machines (both CO2 and Fiber Optic) to produce high quality parts and meet demand. Essential Job Functions: -Wipe press oil from parts before loading into the laser -Load and unload metal material into laser cabin -Position, align, and secure material against fixtures or stops on laser beds -Evaluate part quality using check aids and/or visual inspection -Grind/sand out burrs and sharp edges using portable sanders -Ensure proper tagging of finished parts for correct routing and counts -Keep accurate part and scrap counts, record on data collection system at end of job or shift -Follow safety rules and ISO requirements - Maintain a clean work area.
Qualifications: -We supply highly cosmetic parts to large OEMs so our operators must evaluate part quality using checkaids and/or visual inspection while working to meet efficiency expectations. -Continuous load and unload of drawn metal parts into laser cabin and unload parts. -This job is very physical and requires lifting, bending and reaching and the ability to continually lift partsthat range in weight from 5 to more than 35 lbs -Must have strong attention to detail -Must maintain a good attendance record, practice safe work habits and follow safety rules and ISOrequirements. -Previous experience running a 5-Axis Laser. -Ability to stand for 8 hours per day. -Reliable transportation is required. 1st shift hours: 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday-Friday with overtime as required and on Saturdays)
