An AV Field Technician's primary responsibility is to perform the detailed physical installation of network cameras & live audio with unsurpassed precision while representing IVS as a subject matter expert.
Providing exceptional customer service before, during, and after the project is paramount.
The most important skill is to have a positive, calm, engaging, and confident attitude even in the most challenging situations.
On-the-job training includes a combination of:
Classroom style instruction, Webinars, Training videos, Extensive hands-on in a mock customer environment with relevant hardware.
Advanced training will focus on network programming and diagnosis, and industry-leading certifications.
Once training is complete, you will hold the following certifications:
Axis N.

F, BiAamp Tesira Forte, Shure Audio, and RDL Audio Once live, a field technician is responsible to understand the assigned projects, book travel & transportation, communicating the itinerary and daily agenda to all parties, and being the single point of contact until project completion.
Travel Requirements:
The amount of travel varies from month to month, but you can expect to be in the field 2-3 weeks a month on average.
There will be times with little travel, and others where you could have 5 projects in a row.
You must love to travel to new places, be self-sufficient, self-motivated, and dedicated to producing the highest quality project.
Variety of Work:
While in the office, the AV Technician is responsible for Picking orders, Configuring Servers, Testing Cameras & Audio (approx 25-50%) While in the field, the AV Technician will drive or fly to install cameras & audio, program software, and conduct live audience training (approx 50-100%) Office environment:
Casual, fun, welcoming, and productive.
Travel environment:
90% Domestic 10% International, Dynamic, Commercial, Converted Residential, Mostly indoors, Rarely outdoors, anything from a casual business to sensitive government facilities.

Quickly learn all hardware, software, and related components of our VALT solution Learn basic and advanced tool operation needed for professional installation Perform onsite AV installation, configuration, and training of new systems and solutions Be committed to delivering outrageous customer service Conduct customer support sessions both remote and onsite Preconfigure and program hardware Obtain vendor-specific training and certifications Maintain a professional appearance Here is what you need to excel in this role:
